The Puppet Master magazine has been produced in printed form and distributed to all Guild members since 1946. Originally produced monthly, it is now an annual publication which, in addition to a bi-monthly digital newsletter, keeps Guild members informed of the latest news about Puppetry activities, views and technical information. We are indebted to the succession of editors for many hours of voluntary work spent compiling this wealth of information, especially in the pre-digital age. Even so, the production of today’s high standard, colourful magazine is no mean feat.

The issues form part of the National Puppetry Archive and provide a valuable resource for Puppetry historians and researchers. The key to it is the combined index below of 149 issues to date – and counting. We hope that future archivists and researchers or people just seeking information about a puppeteer ancestor will find this index a useful aid to their search.
