Covent Garden May Fayre. Sunday 12 May 2024
The Annual Puppet Festival draws puppeteers from all over the UK to entertain families through amusing puppet shows. The date of the event is always the second Sunday in May. The setting is St. Paul's Church, Covent Garden, London. It was soon unofficially renamed into the Actor's Church, and so it is referred to today. The date of the festival also celebrates the birthday of a famous puppet couple Punch and Judy. According to the diary of Samuel Pepys, It was exactly on the 9th of May in 1662 when​ he first saw the amusing puppet comedy in London.
Beverley Puppet Festival
12 - 14 July 2024
We are delighted to announce that the 11th edition of Beverley Puppet Festival will be going ahead 12th-14th July 2024! The event has been made possible thanks to Arts Council England, East Riding of Yorkshire Council, Beverley Town Council and Visit Hull & East Yorkshire.
