2025 events
British Puppet Guild celebrates 100 years
29 April 1925-29 April 2025
Throughout 2025 the British Puppet Guild will be celebrating its100th year, with several Guild events taking place up and down the country. Combine our events with other non-guild events, and we have a whole year packed with something for everyone. Here are some dates for your diary.

Skipton Puppet Festival
16 - 19 October
Skipton Town Council are hosting a Symposium at the Town Hall on Friday 17th & Saturday 18th as shown on the poster.
There will also be a performance at 8pm on Thursday 16th of 'Lemba', by the Spanish Puppet Theatre Company Angeles de Trapa.
Through the entire event (16 to 19th) there will be exhibitions, performances, demonstrations etc. As soon as more details become available, we will add them here.
Friday 17th at 8pm. Puppet cabaret (no other details atm)
Saturday 18th. A performance of Life and Limb 'At Sea'
Sunday 19th. More performances, workshops & exhibitions throughout the day.

A Christmas Carol is coming to the Harlequin Puppet Theatre, Rhos-on-Sea, North Wales – December 20th & 21st, 2025, Performances at 3PM & 7PM both days.
This festive season, the Harlequin Puppet Theatre invites you to experience Charles Dickens’ timeless tale as you’ve never seen it before, told entirely through the magic of marionettes in its first new production in many years. Join Ebenezer Scrooge as he confronts his past, present, and future in a hauntingly beautiful retelling of this timeless tale. So wrap up warm, settle in, and let the strings of storytelling transport you to a world where the spirit of Christmas glows in every heart.
Tickets on sale from Monday 1st September at 7pm. A limited number of tickets will be available, so book early to avoid disappointment.
