Online Training & Development Workshop

“Starting out in puppetry… a career!” was aimed at anyone who was looking to develop their work or hobby into a profession or for anyone already professional looking for tips and guidance from experts across the breadth of puppetry. Five speakers gave an insight into their careers and any challenges they have overcome and answered questions about their experiences. Whether you wanted to be a TV puppeteer or puppet maker, have your own glove or Punch and Judy show, or even tour your show abroad you were able to gain valuable knowledge from the best! Sunday 24th March, 10.30am till 4pm.

2024 Annual Lunch in Banbury, Oxfordshire.

Although a little later than usual a large group of members gathered in Banbury, Oxfordshire on Saturday March 16 for the Guild's annual lunch. The venue was the historic 17th century Whately Hall Hotel in Banbury. Situated in a central location for our members, we all enjoyed a splendid 3 course meal followed by entertainment from some of our members. Photos

Covent Garden May Fayre
14 May 2023

The May Fayre 2023 celebrated the 361st Anniversary of Mr. Punch and the 48th Annual event. Punch & Judy Professors and Puppeteers from all over the country and abroad gathered to perform in the Garden of St Paul’s Church near the spot where Samuel Pepys first recorded sighting Mr Punch in May 1662. Guild member Max Fulham came to visit us at the Guild Stand.

Take a look at some of the photos captured on the day here.
