Eddie Barrett

Eddie Barrett has been a fan of puppetry for many years – his favourite puppet character being the CBeebies character Brum - you’ll often find it on his shirt and/or hat. As time went on, he started gaining more and more interests, too many to list, but puppetry (particularly Brum - always been his favourite) was always a dominant one. He took inspiration from many puppet-related productions, such as The Muppets, Sesame Street, Sooty and others and went on to meet various puppeteers at events, who he greatly enjoyed talking to. With how interested he’d become in puppetry at this point, he decided to join the British Puppet Guild.

Having joined the Guild, he was able to meet even more puppeteers, maintain new friendships, gain an even wider understanding of puppetry and the many forms of it there are and partake in the many events that members can attend, including the Great Con-Junction of 2025 and the Guild’s Centennial lunch in the same year. Eddie’s love of puppetry is always growing and he loves researching as much as he can on the subject matter. As such, if there’s an event with the Guild that he’s available to attend, he’s always more than happy to partake in it!
