Claire Roi Harvey

Claire started out puppeteering when she was 16 after a workshop at her college and has been hooked ever since. As a puppeteer & builder she co-founded ‘The River People’ theatre company, a puppetry led performance company and went on to work for many brilliant UK arts organisations using puppetry including Little Angel, Lyric Hammersmith, The Old Vic, & Polka theatre. In recent years she has moved from a successful career in theatre to working with puppetry onscreen.

She has worked on some of her favourite film franchises, including Star Wars, Jim Henson’s The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance, Jurassic World: Dominion, Doctor Who, & has voiced ‘Breagha’ for CBeebies ‘Feeling Better’. Claires work in film & tv now spans across a number of puppetry styles, including animatronic performance, mocap data suit work, cables, hand and rod, and shadow puppetry. She also takes on digital puppetry commissions, works as a puppetry director, and offers her time as a professional arts industry mentor to early and mid-career artists.
